People are moving to cities like never before. By 2050 more than 2,5 billion people will be living in towns. Future cities need to be ready for this to prevent themselves from a lack of affordable housing. However, is there enough space for all the people willing to live there? For our project we were trying to find a particular suitable urban spaces around us which are not being used today. We chose exposed facades of panel buildings with no windows at housing estates which have been widely built in Slovakia during last century. We use these empty spots for our modular wooden frame constructions. These extensions bring also other programs to these monopurpose panel blocks and increase density of urban population. The project is based on co-living society which offers lower outcomes, lowers built-up area and also prevents from social isolation.
